What is Music Therapy

Music therapy is usually employed to provide help to disabled people, but we know that music therapy (especially in its holistic form) hides a great potential that could equally serve non-disabled people as an alleviation of existing health problems, or possibly help with undiagnosed  problems, or even with the standard ‘diseases of civilization’ that have become so prevalent in modern times (high blood pressure, cholesterol, tinnitus, etc.) A large part of the population suffers from these ailments and these techniques have the potential to relieve or mitigate such maladies. The festival is not our only activity. We also gradually review the existing conducted scientific research and summarize and publish the results in our blog section.

Session with Daniela

Daniela has extensive experience with music therapy, mainly with children, but she also works with adults. Relaxation takes place by just making yourself comfortable, usually lying down, and Daniela will play the music therapy instruments in a specific way according to a tried and tested method, which will allow you to retune your brain waves to a level that enables deep relaxation and thus opens up the body’s self-healing potential.

The active music therapy method embodies pleasant music creation and improvisation for all those who have no musical experience and for those who have, in an equipped meditation room adapted for music therapy purposes. Enjoy the freedom of improvisation and let the rhythms, sounds and vibrations affect you.

Relaxation with music therapy instruments is a passive music therapy effect where you don’t need to bring anything with you and you can just lie down and relax and enjoy the sound bath. Find your centre, your inner peace and your own source of life energy, just feel and listen.

Daniela uses mainly the active method, she uses the old musical instruments and the attendees actively play non-traditional music together with the music therapist’s instruments. She provides guidance on how to play and it’s fun for children but also for adults. This program is suitable for preschool and school-aged children, but parents are very welcome to join the co-production.
